Structural Power-Flow Methods for the Conceptional Design Phase

The vibroacoustic assessment and optimization of vehicle components at the early stage of complete vehicle development is an essential. This is because only at the early phase it is possible to change concepts. Therefore it is necessary to focus on analysis methods which can work with a limited set of information in contrast to the high fidelity methods.A deterministic power-based approach for structure-borne sound will be presented. Moreover, a holistic workflow and design methodology will be discussed and benchmarked against classical methods based on transfer functions.
